Oh, where to begin. Always happy. Always smiling. Always ready to drop whatever he's doing to help someone else do theirs. We haven't decided yet if that's a good thing or a bad thing.
We've asked this man to do everything. He's operated for us, driven the service truck, moved machines, labored, wrenched, and welded. At this point the only job he hasn't done is sit in the office, and honestly, that's probably why he's still smiling. He's worked in more departments than anyone we can think of, and I'd bet he's the first guy in line for back-to-back Employee of the Month, just for the sheer number of hats he wears. Somebody get this man a bigger hat rack.
If you guessed Abraham Coleman (Beno), congratulations. You've been here long enough to have witnessed the legend. I can't remember a single week where he didn't show up with sugary treats for the shop staff. Or dandelion shoots. We're still not sure who those were for, but the man believes in variety.
He'd give you the shirt off his back if you asked, then help you change the oil in your car while he's at it. Need advice on dealing with pain-in-the-ass siblings? He's your guy. Feeling down? He'll have you laughing in five minutes.
Don't get me wrong, he can bitch and complain like the rest of us. He just does it with a smile, which is honestly more annoying.
He's tried to leave a couple of times. Somehow he always comes back, like a boomerang, or a bad habit, or a really good dog. Hopefully he never leaves for good, because he'd leave a hole we couldn't fill, and we know a thing or two about holes.
